About Scientific Games

Officially launched in 1974, Scientific Games wasn’t operating on such an impressive scale as it is today.

SG was the first to come up with instant lottery tickets.

Now, the company has expanded its portfolio far beyond the average lottery outlet.

Scientific Games has grown a lot, and now, their games are extending to whole new platforms.

Scientific Games purchased Barcrest from IGT in 2010, growing its massive collection of acquisitions even further, and by 2012, SG was pumping out $260 billion in annual revenue.

In 2013, this ever-expanding gambling industry bought out WMS- which was one of the biggest slot distributors in the world at that time, and by 2014, SG even owned Bally Technologies, among other major subsidiaries.

So, you could say between the span of these few years, Scientific Games was undergoing a huge growth spurt, and was well on its way to becoming the top in the industry.

Because of the major success, Scientific Games slots can be found at almost every online casino in NZ.

One of the best things about Scientific Games is the Sciplay platform, allowing easy access to third-party gaming content.

Sciplay allows players to access their favourite casino and lottery content from their homes or anywhere within the jurisdiction.

Scientific Games made sure that the first thing this platform does is handle the transactions – deposits and fast withdrawals require just a few moments.

Scientific Games is a huge multi-billion dollar gambling software industry floating within an even bigger one: the iGaming industry.

Scientific Games game portfolio

It should come as no surprise that you’ve probably already encountered a few SG games.

What once started out as a simple lottery outlet has now grown into a gigantic gambling conglomerate that operates under four major platforms: Gaming, Digital, Social, and of course, Lottery.

From online slots, live casino games to other options, Scientific Games has a seemingly endless game selection that continues evolving.

Through their collaborations, SG’s portfolio is vastly interesting.

For instance, Bally Tech is known for great slot machines, such as the famous ‘Pawn Stars’.

SG also continues developing new versions of old popular slots, like WMS Black Knight or Zeus.

Nowadays, the most popular games developed by Scientific Games are Raging Rhino, *Zeus III, *and Montezuma.

Zeus is a worldwide-famous game that has been around for years now, both in land-based casinos and online.

The third part of the game, Zeus II, features a classic five reels grid with 190 pay lines.

There are free spins involved, astonishing graphics and soundtrack, and stacked wild symbols.

Once wilds start landing on the grid filling the whole reels, players will recall the original version of the Zeus game.

Raging Rhino is a modern game featuring a 6×4 unique slot grid and over 4000 paying options.

There’s an impressive variety of unique, high-quality online slots Scientific Games provides thanks to all its contributors – from the Seinfeld Slot, which, you guessed it, is based on the hit 90’s sitcom, to an Anchorman-themed slot featuring ‘Rob Burgandy,’ and to many more.

Scientific Games is one of the most innovative, quality-driven and successful gaming software providers out there.

So, next time you play your favourite online casino game, just remember that it probably came from Scientific Games.
